Comments... yeah right  by philly1

The story was special. Must have menat the world to her, especially since she died holding it in her hand. The police had it all roped off. The bystanders were talking how just a few comments on her story from readers could have prevented so much of this from happening. She posted weekly and checked daily. Nobody ever commented and hardly anyone added to it. Must have been a real bummer. The dectetive is coming. You can smell his new after shave. He is rough around the edge but all the women melt in his presence even his partner. Sad thing is he knows it and therefore never has a date, they all assume he's with someone else and he won't ask for fear someone finds out, he's really just an insecure ****.

"What's the story here Chuck?"the dective inquires

"Not much, Suicide from what I can tell. Lady couldn't handle life I guess." Said the M.E

"Maybe just the rejection was too much. Writes stories so much and never a thought goes out as to maybe we chould leave a comment." relied the dectives partner

"Well here's a comment or quote whichever. When you read a story, vote and leave a comment it really helps the writer. Oh and hey don't be afraid to add a chapter. We should all consider this when we surf." stated the dective.

"Wrap it up." said the partner

And just like that everyone was gone and so was any memory the woman ever existed or wrote any stories.

ok, this isn't exactly a story. It's late. I ranted and rambled. And cited philosophers. And used too many prepositional phrases. Sorry.
The detective becomes drawn to her words and the truth he finds in them. The book the woman held in her hand when she died begins to shed light on the life she left behind.

This is beta feature is a representation of the entire story this chapter is part of. We know it's not beautiful and might be slow to display, but we wanted to get your feedback sooner than later. Discuss the "Story Tree" in our writing community blog.
