Honeygloom earns another five star rating.
Memento Mori. (my fav tat) Gorgeous how you handled that…with the Hallmark moment, then Carpe Diem…rolling right into her cab ride.
She’s still so innocent…yet, not.
I love when he asks if she’s leaving and she replies:
“I’m sorry, I was going to help clean up, but I really have to go.”
No other explanation necessary. Making breakfast was payment enough for him not taking advantage of her.
And Adam…showing his softer side a little. Could this ol’ Marine hard **** be falling for little miss born to lose?
I just think she better be careful!
“Adam stood for a second staring at the closed door before he punched it.”

Best line:
“Orifices were not for multitasking.”

Thanks! Hey, I've been thinking about Suzette Parsons a little. I have to go to a baseball game today (fresh air, sunshine, the horror), but hopefully tonight I'll get a chance to write something.

The connection and power from chapter one are not as bold in this one to me. The story however remains on pace. I really like the bits of humor tossed into a grimey scene, and the line
Orifices were not for multitasking
brilliant!
