The story so far:
Beep Beep Beep! The clock was ringing out of control. Aaron's hand bumps the ash tray on his bed side table knocking some old butts on the floor. Aaron hits the snooze button angrily and falls back in bed staring blankly at the ceiling.
Ah! Focus!
Aaron's head felt like it had been through a shredder. He looked around his room to try and get a barring.
Alright, I'm in my room, that's a good thing.
Aaron recalled the words of Doctor Jameson, "Aaron, your mind has trouble differentiating what is happening now in the present and what has already happened in your mind. It jumps back and forth. You may be experiencing this moment later on in life without any recollection of it happening right now. "
So I just have to figure out if this is now or some other moment.
Suddenly John flies through the door with a look of extreme fear!
"Aaron! Get up!" Screamed John.
What?
"The house is on fire!"
Maybe this isn't now. Maybe this is some other time.
Aaron watched John in disbelief as smoke poured into the room. John rushed to the window and smashes the glass with his fists. Blood was running down his frantic arms. John stretched his hands out toward Aaron making a face riddled with shock.
Aaron reached out to John and a bright light engulfed them. It felt warm and disorienting.
Soft grass beneath me.
Aaron stood in the middle of a field alone. His hands covered in blood.. He felt older now, his arms covered in tattoos he hadn't remembered getting. He was carrying a shovel. Smoke rose in front of his eyes.
I'm smoking.
He looked down to realize he was in a small hole around two feet deep. He was grasping a shovel hard. The body of a young girl lay next to him just outside of the hole.
Oh god! What have I done?
