Long long long ago, in a towering castle, there lived a beautiful girl with hair black as ebony, skin white as snow, and lips red as blood.
To escape from nagging Mother, she ran away, losing herself deep deep deep in a wooded forest.
One day, she came upon a mushroom house by a lake shore, with walls white as her skin, roof red as her lips, and door black as her hair. The house was surrounded by a rope fence, on which dangled yellow, blue, green lanterns.
The house belonged to the seven dwarves, who mined the forest floor and fished the lake for food, who worked the wood and clay for trinkets. They welcomed her stay. During the day, she took on chores. At night, she shared a bed with one of the dwarves. Each dwarf showed her his unique trick. The trick tickled her into uncontrollable giggles, triggered a vigorous shaking of the bed, jingled the wind chime beside the door, and created a symphony with crickets singing, water tapping, and leaves rustling.
They lived merrily for a long long long time. Until one day, Mother found the house, trampled on the fence, ate the mushroom with the dwarves in it, and dragged her home by the hand.
But, the beautiful girl was always contemplating an escape.
