I heard a rumor (rumour for you Queen's English people) that the next Project And Contest was going to revolve around comedy. I also heard that each story must somehow incorporate a dwarf Rhinoceros, two postage stamps featuring a tequila bottle (full or empty) and any object exhibiting complete anachronism within the time setting of the story. Any truth to this rumor/rumour?

Oh, absolutely true;) Apart from the tequila bottles, we here at StoryMash strictly drink whiskey... but sometimes Tequila Rose, when we're feeling sentimental.

OK- truthfully, there are a number of possibilities for the next contest, yet none has been decided on. But I will certainly take your stellar idea up with the team. I quite like it, 'ol chap.

I know, I haven't been around. Very busy in RL, drat it all. And my muse appears to be on vacation.

Vodka and vacationing muses... That could be a story in itself;)Maybe not a comedy though.

I already know the title for my 2008 NaNovel - Blood and Kittens. What it will be about I don't know yet, but real life spit that beauty out. Maybe next year I'll write a sequel, Vodka and Vacationing Muses.

Came from emailing someone about two topics at once, the blood drive she was organizing and a litter of 5-week-old kittens I had rescued that were dumped by the roadside in an icechest. I imagine in the novel the kittens will be drawing the blood from others!

Oh... poor little kittens! I can't stand that stuff. All my babies are rescued. Vampire kittens huh? That's awesome! It's like the bunny in Monty Python's Holy Grail:)
